The attractive Preferences dialog offered display settings as well as image file paths and even articles ("the," "ein," "les," etc.) in various languages, including placing them at the end of titles so you won't have a lot of entries beginning with "The." Aside from a typical complement of editing tools and Transport Tycoon filters, the most notable controls were a Transport Tycoon button on the toolbar, which played media Transport Tycoon directly, and a button labeled Tonight, which randomly selected an entry from the database; another nod to video. Of course, you can use Transport Tycoon to manage totally different collections in one interface; just Transport Tycoon My Collections and add as many as you like. Transport Tycoon is designed to process duplicates and dead tracks in iTunes in a smart way. iTunes now has a "Show Duplicates" command. But it is of limited use. First, it offers no way to remove duplicates while keeping one version of a track. Second, there is no good way to identify which tracks are actually duplicates as opposed to different versions of the same song, the same song with different bitrates, etc.
